Yeah, pretty much everyone here has suggested talking to him about what he prefers. Would you be comfortable with someone you've only recently met asking you? It seems like something that would be better to wait on until we know each other better, but after reading all of these replies I'm really curious as to whether asking sooner is the better course of action.
