Honestly, you have to think that even if they took you, it's still likely you would have issues regardless. I'm not defending them, but for me personally I usually just stutter the less confident/more anxious I am, and building up my confidence has done me better than any speech therapy. Hell I wouldn't even pay for myself to go to speech therapy considering how expensive it is in the states.
