I had success with speech therapy around your age. Went back to speech therapy after not going for about 8 - 10 years. Went from a severe stutter to fluency in a relatively short time (less than a year.) Same speech therapy I had in my youth. Difference being was that in my 20s I was choosing to go to speech therapy, as opposed to being taken to speech therapy in my teens. In my teens I KNEW I would always stutter. In my 20s I sought fluency. That was in the late 90s. I have the occasional disfluency. But I am generally fluent. The cool thing is, that as you enjoy more and more time with your fluency, and time passes, you stop thinking about your stutter. You don't anticipate stuttering. You don't even think about it. you simply speak.
