So more precisely - doubt. Like preparing to jump over a puddle of water. The puddle might be a bit too big and you could not make it over the edge and get wet. You step back and go towards it but you suddenly hesitate right before the jump and stop. So there are two options: 1. Practice. When you’ve jumped the same kind of puddle (e.g. saying your name first) 100s of times successfully, are you going to doubt yourself that you’ll fall the 101th time? 2. Don’t be afraid to get wet. To make it to 100 times without stuttering you have to practice and fail a few times. No way around that. And come on - you are already the person who cares the most about the stutter - other people think only about themself.
