I went to speech therapy in summer of 2022. I was let go only after a few weeks because they said I “didn’t need it” when I already explained to them that my speech is better around new people/strangers and they needed to give it time. I also went to speech therapy for years as a kid and I didn’t even end up using any of the techniques I was taught. TL;DR: I’ve had bad experiences with speech therapy but I’m sure there are actually good speech therapists out there. You should give it a shot anyway.
