Sadly, many SLP’s have no training in dysfluency and treat it as if it’s an articulation disorder, or just do the equivalent of throwing spaghetti at the wall. If you leave events drained and still struggle to speak, seems like your SLP taught you “tricks” that made it worse. There are “tricks” that address the actual issue, that you can learn for free, that will allow you to speak. I’ve written about them in a post in this sub.
