I disagree. I would prefer famous stutterers to stutter openly. The fact that we don't see them stutter reinforces the idea that in order to be successful we must stop stuttering. And it can contribute to the sense of failure we experience if we continue to stutter. I don't think they're helpful beyond the acknowledgement that there are other people who stutter in the world.
