I've had speech therapy all of my life man and in the end, it's all about your mindset and what you do with the information, I mean I've retained none of it and never really applied it because I was a afraid, afraid to show that I stutter and afraid to vocalize. This has not been a good option, so all I can relay is try to be fearless. You're going there in private with someone else and it may be weird because you kinda know the person is really listening to engage in your stutter and then apply their knowledge to try to help you, but that's the point, being afraid does no one any good. Best of luck to you
