Hello fellow stutterer! I can somehow relate to your problem, since I have been stuttering since early childhood (I am 22 and go to university). People on this subreddit like to say "Don't let your stutter dictate your life", but of course it is not easy. As you said, it is both an emotional and physical burden. For me, the severeness of my stuttering behaves like a drunk sinus curve, unpredictably getting better or getting worse. In bad times I keep reminding myself that it will get better eventually.
