Does anyone else find it difficult to talk within a group setting or am I just being too polite?

Does anyone else find it difficult to talk within a group setting or am I just being too polite? Hello! I have been stuttering for over 20 years. It is started six months before I went to kindergarten. It has a lot better through speech therapy however it is still an uphill battle on a daily basis. Recently, I have found it very challenging to try to keep up with the flow of conversation in a group setting. Trying to step out of my comfort zone. Has anyone else have had trouble with this or am I just being too polite and not speaking up. Any positive advice would be greatly appreciated.
