Depending on where you live in Canada, the drive might not be too bad. I live in Chicago, but grew up in Toronto, and my family all lives in DC so we used to drive Toronto-DC all the time. Toronto-Baltimore is pretty much the same as Toronto-Chicago. They are both long drives if you're only going to stay two days. (I do Toronto-Chicago regularly myself.) If you live west of TO, that of course puts you closer to Chicago. Maybe you could break it up by staying with a friend in TO before driving down to Baltimore? (Since most people seem to know someone in Toronto...) It's costing me about $2k more than I had planned, when it was going to be right in my backyard... But IMO, totally worth it!
