One of the first times this happened I was taking a Greyhound back and someone in line struck up a conversation with me. I knew if I wanted to talk openly and not come across as weird or shy I would just have to give them full disclosure (because I tend to hide my stutter by talking less, etc). It went well and it put me at ease to just converse one on one with a stranger. It's hard and random to always tell a waiter (I often just point to the item on the menu) or sales person this but just keep your confidence and composure up through your stutter. No one said you can't be a confident and proud stutterer :) I don't stutter when I sing, put on accents or play characters/act. I struggled the most while recording the bit about stuttering partially because I was stuttering but mostly because it felt incoherent and like I was rambling. I'm not entirely comfortable or used to talking to myself in front of a camera but hopefully that will improve as I do more vlogs. Happy early birthday!
