Yep, like others are saying here, what you're experiencing is a between-word disfluency rather than a within-word one. Otherwise known as blocks. I mostly have these too. Look into Van Riper's stuttering modification techniques. What I find to be useful when I block is to immediately forget about the sound I'm blocking on and instead put my attention on the sound following it. It seems to "trick" my brain into forgetting about blocking on that syllable and I can usually say the word more smoothly.
