That's actually amazing to read. I plan to become a neurologist one day and this is the kinds of studies I want to do. So basically, they took a mutated housekeeping gene and placed it in Mice. Through a cool experiment, they noticed that these mice would have similar qualities when juxtaposed to that of regular mice in respect to humans that stutter. This gene is known as a starter to connect things to together. If you look up the actual gene, they only assist enzymes in lysosomes. There is no direct correlation to how this gene is important in stuttering but it's a start that connects it together since the Mice showed similar results.
