Oooh, I thought of another one. This is a memory I haven't thought about for a very long time. My first job was in fast food. I had just been hired and hadn't heard anything about my schedule yet, so I called to ask. My bosses knew I stuttered, but got upset when I stuttered on the phone, because "this restaurant has to be run quickly and efficiently, so if you know you're going to have problems speaking to us on the phone, you should have somebody else call and ask your questions for you." Basically my stuttering was a waste of their precious time. As if fast food bosses aren't bad enough, right?
