Jaw tension is not related to airway being open or shut

Jaw tension is not related to airway being open or shut I was just thinking about this today... that my stuttering happens when I start being faked out by those little bits of tension at my jaw joints. That leads me to relax my throat and my airway closes, and **that's** when I can't talk. Honestly, all that tension in the jaw should do, mechanically, is make the consonants more soft... - it would make you mumble, in other words. And then if I slow down my speech (I talk terribly quickly) I can focus on getting all the consonants lined up properly. So, it's just a good exercise to focus on keeping the airway open and keeping the breath flowing through it. Sorry, if this idea seems bleedingly obvious to people. To me, it has never been.
