Gotcha. When I started diaphragmatic breathing, something that helped me do it correctly was when my therapist told me to focus on my stomach, and think of it as a balloon. When you breathe in, push your stomach out (like when you blow in to a balloon, it starts to push out/grow). When you breathe out, push your stomach in (when you release the balloon, it starts to deflate because you aren’t blowing any air in.) With passive airflow, they key is to start the letter or word sound on the same breath as the exhale. Another helpful piece of advice my speech therapist gave me is to make an exaggerated sigh, because that helps to kickstart the word or letter sound that you have to make. Let me know if this helps you!
