I do this on the phone. I immediately go into block mode and cannot say my name, address, etc anything. It's horrifically embarrassing. My biggest nightmare is contacting a doctor or dentist and hearing the dreaded "Can I get your first and last name please?" and it takes me a good 45 seconds. Sometimes a good ten seconds of silence on my end which causes the end caller to say "Hello? are you there?" It's bad and has really effected my life horribly.
