One thing that I have found in my interviews that worked well is confidence, finding your “trigger” sounds (mine is words starting with H and sometime F) and avoiding them when you get nervous or feel you will stutter, and most importantly don’t take yourself to seriously and have a light sense of humor about your stutter. I always use “and well, I’m not sure if you knew this or not, but I stutter from time to time”, the usual response i got was a humorous “wait, what?” And the worst I got was a slight smile. It shows that you can take your setback, realize it, then twist it to your advantage. As for the communication aspect, it’s actually a killer win i told my manager “I stutter from time to time so I make sure to have the best communication in a way that my stutter won’t be distracting and I can convey my message/instructions/game plan clearly Good luck and remember, a lot of us stutter because we think we are going to stutter, you would want to think about tripping while you are full speed sprinting would you?
