I wish my family didn't mock or punish me for my speech impediment. Understand that if the stutter doesn't go away, and it's neurologically caused, that your daughter has no control over it. I don't feel comfortable speaking with anyone because of this, especially my own family. So making sure you're atleast a safe person for them to be around is a good start.
