How old are you? I'm 31 and I've been stuttering since I can remember. When I was younger, late teens or so, I just kinda figured it would go away. I had no explanation for why I thought this, I just ... kinda hoped, I guess. Eventually I turned 30 and there I was, still stuttering. I realized that if this was ever going to change, I was going to have to work at it. So I got a book, read it and have been practicing. I've certainly improved but I still have a lot of work to do. I wish I had made the decision to help myself sooner. So if you, like me, have been stuttering your whole life, it probably won't stop on it's own.
