How did the conversation actually go? Be proud of yourself that you even approached. That in itself is painfully hard, even for many non-stutterers. As for people judging you for your stutter, unfortunately that's a part of life. First impressions are everything nowadays and if any weakness is displayed you're judged harshly. I'm not saying that stuttering in itself is a weakness, but many people do not understand the condition and when someone stutters they perceive that person as weak. Stuttering and other thoughts(unrelated to stuttering) towards the dating scene has put me off of it. It isn't worth the time or effort. If I'm going to be anxious to speak it's going to be towards important things like oral presentations at school or job interviews. Dating is a waste of time and stuttering drops it even further into my do-not-bother waste bin.
