I should caution that it's very easy to become dependent on these medications (feels weird to be giving pseudo-medical advice to a nurse, lol). Same effects can be achieved through other non-medicinal approaches like mediation and cognitive behavioral therapy, but as you can imagine, its not easy to get started and maintain them. So in order to reduce my dependence, I take the medication ONLY if I have important meetings, presentations, etc. and resist the urge or the need to be fluent all the time. In order to reduce my overthinking and restlessness, i do other things like prioritize sleep, minimize caffeine, exercise regularly, meditate often, and spend quality time with family/friends. I also make sure that everyone in my work know that I stutter, so WHEN I do stutter in front of them, it won't be a surprise. I've also found that herbal supplement like Ashwagandha have similar effect on me, so I switch it up sometimes during high-stress situations.
