I can relate to your feelings. The below is advice I'd have given to my 14 year old self. I felt like I shouldn't be stuttering in the first place so I never admitted it or accepted it. I feel that's a mistake. To be honest, initially, stuttering sounds funny as shit especially if the listener doesn't know that it's a problem and that it's upsetting to you. Own up to your stutter, if she asks if you have a problem. Just say you stutter, that's it. Laugh with them. I think people need to learn to laugh at themselves, especially young people, People with missing limbs, blind and deaf learn to laugh at themselves. I think talking to more people and being a general social butterfly is the optimal way to improve your stutter. Even though you may want to remain mute, that's not what you want to do trust me.
