Gave me practice at speaking and reading out loud with other kids. Did fake phone calls. Talked along to a metronome. Helped me realize that I could manage by keeping my speaking smooth and measured. I'm not always fluent, but I can go pretty long stretches of decent levels of fluency and when it gets choppy I don't get too worked up about it. I went from kindergarten to 7th grade though, so I think a lot of what I learned was internalized and just became part of how I naturally speak. I'm rarely consciously thinking about my speech.
