I gotta say, it does help and it does work. But for my personal self, I look at it as a very rarely used equipment that was more of a $5000 lesson telling me stuttering is better than being deaf. I whole heartily think you should have a discussion with a provider and see for yourself. Take my advice though. Don't let them put it in the ear you normally talk on the phone with. That little detail drove me crazy. Oh! As far as the walking around and wind noise goes. I'll just turn it on and off and pretend it's a hearing aid. So when someone wants to talk I'll pause them, turn it on, and then let them continue. And a hearing aid is more easily explained than a speech fluency device.
