In the strictest sense he's correct -- it is not stuttering that prevents you from doing x, y or z. Rather it is your reaction to stuttering that influences how you respond to certain events. You clearly have a strong reaction to stuttering. And this is impacting how you interact with the world. This happens to all of us, your reaction seems to be stronger than others. I think what u/MileNorth is trying to get at is your reaction to stuttering can change over time. His(?) likely has. Mine has. Your opinion is absolutely valid. Stuttering does make life more difficult and it can limit what choices you make. But it's not universal nor shared by all.
