These SSRI medications take weeks to work on your brain neurotransmitter chemistry. It does NOT WORK after only one week. Prozac/Fluoxetine takes 6-8 weeks to stabilise serotonin and dopamine levels in your brain. You have to stick with it for a few weeks for the effects to work. During that period, do not eat/drink anything that causes dopamine spikes in your brain (caffeine, alcohol, sugars etc). Exercise more too because that helps balance out dopamine in your brain too. Read out loud at slow pace daily, and gradually increase pace over time. Breathe properly as you read out loud. The brain has amazing plasticity and can re-wire itself with enough practice.
