Was made to do it in elementary/middle school but it was useless because I would never stutter during the sessions. The speech therapists were very nice people but it just wasn't helpful because it's not the environment I would stutter in. I would be very calm and prepared, so there was no "trigger" to stutter, which typically happens during more nerve-racking and unexpected situations (such as ordering food or taking a phone call).
