I don't think there's really anything that helps. Stuttering has neither a known cure nor a known cause. If you find something that helps, by all means go for it, but it may just be a placebo effect. I'm sure many scientists have studied all sorts of things, but the reality is that they haven't found anything yet. About 5 or 6 years ago I participated in a clinical study for Pagoclone, which at the time was the only drug seeking FDA approval for treatment for stuttering, since in initial trials it appeared that it may be successful. It ended up not being approved because it turned out just to be basically another anti-anxiety drug, with no direct links to preventing stuttering. I wish there was a miracle pill to help me not stutter. I don't think it would really change who I was, but it would certainly help in a lot of situations. Sadly, there isn't. It's just something you have to learn to deal with unfortunately.
