Been using speech easy for a few months

Been using speech easy for a few months And to be honest it's a piece of crap. I have noticed 0 change at all. I honestly don't see how it's supposed to work. I mean, I can't even get a beginning sound out at all to even hear myself through it. I feel really bad for my mom who paid for it because I could tell when I was getting fitted that all the "proof" and "statistics" were complete fluff and used to just sell them. The only things the person who fitted me taught me were the same tired techniques that I learned through 12 years of school speech therapy. Those techniques that are more embarrassing to use in public than just getting stuck. I really don't understand how this thing is supposed to work, it's just an annoying high pitched echo of everything around me. If anyone knows a special trick to use it properly please let me know. As of right now it's just a 5,000 dollar crappy paperweight. I know it doesn't fully help people, but I thought I would at least see a tiny change
