I’m sure it’s effective, but not fail proof. What if you get blamed for starting it and can’t verbally defend yourself? Punching a bully would not have been worth losing my spot in the program I worked hard to get into. I weathered the bullying and came out with a clean record. No one should have to tolerate bullying but I wouldn’t encourage people to be violently retaliate.
