> Not labelling them as a stutterer won't make them feel isolated, if anything I think labelling them as a stutterer and taking them to therapy makes them feel more isolated. I think having a child come to you upset that their peers are saying they're speaking funny and making fun of them, and the parent just being like, "Nah, you talk normal!" is robbing them of a critical support system. Likewise, children of a certain age have a significant chance of growing out of stuttering if given proper treatment.
