It sounds like sleep is useful to you! With the complexity of stuttering, sleep can probably help in many aspects - improved confidence, decreased anxiety, more cognitive reserves, etc, and likely varies person to person, as well. For me, I haven't yet noticed such a correlation. I have a sleep disorder, but I don't notice much difference between the days with a sleep machine + meds, and the days without them.
