female stutterer here. my stutter is moderate/severe depending on the circumstance (mainly when im excited which is most of the time). i socialise great, very much an extrovert. i wasnt ever teased about my stutter but it did give me some anxiety in classes. i felt that some people perceived me as not-very-smart because of it. dating is not so great, but thats mainly because i have an avoidant personality… though i did hear a friends girlfriend say she “didnt see me as a threat” to her relationship because my stutter made me unattractive, but she was a mean-girl type so i never took much notice of what she said. i sometimes struggle to relate to the men on this sub, so this thread is nice
