To those who got your stutter from a parent, do you also have a harder time speaking to them? Its like I go into my fathers head and feel shame that he gave me this stutter whenever I have a long stutter as I’m talking to him. I keep noticing stress, and changes in behavior coming from him when I’m having a longer stutter. Even though my hatred for my stutter doesn’t make me hate my dad or anything. I hate the stutter, not my dad. I think anyone should have kids and feel no regret. But when it comes to me. I will never have kids. I don’t want them to feel what I’ve felt. Maybe that reflects on my dad when I talk to him.
