Wow I only found this subreddit today too, that's weird! Yeah I'd love to offer some advice! I'll try to organise the answers the best I can. First of all, our situations seem to be very similar. I'm 25 (close enough) and mine comes and goes. I mumble and/or speak very fast. I also substitute words and change sentences around to suit my stammer. My stammer effects me much more than it should considering how often I actually get stuck. This is called a covert stammer, meaning the stammer is more psychological than physical. I'm guessing yours is the same. Second, I haven't tried home remedies or pills. There is no instant cure unfortunately. Fortunately, you have shown that you can speak fluently so if you play your cards right you're more than capable of speaking fluently much much more. Third, it is kind of expensive. I pay €85 for an hour or €55 for a half hour. I probably paid around €500 over the last 2 years. You can email some places and get quoted though. Quotes cost nothing! you can literally ask me as many questions as you want either here or in a pm. Finally, have you spoke to anybody about this? I bottled it all up for half a year and eventually told my sister. I cried and everything so that will show you how much this constant stress can effect us. So if I could make one recommendation, it would be to try to find one close family member or friend and let them know what you are talking about. Hope this helps!
