Something that is helping So, I'm now 30 and I've had a stutter and a stammer for as long as I can remember. It's been my nemesis and my friend over the years, and over the last few years - I've started studying it, and working out what the hell is going on in my brain. I knew that tiredness is my number one driver for having a bad day of getting my words out (alongside anxiety). And so, I knew that this would be a factor in what would be my way of 'testing' different ways to help. i.e. if I purposely don't have enough sleep AND do the test, does it cancel out what would be my really bad day of speaking? Most recently, I've started looking into supplements. I knew that I needed something to help me feel more awake throughout the day, so I bought some vitamin B-Complex and B12. It states that it: "Supports normal energy yielding, metabolism and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue." I've been taking these little guys for 2 weeks, every morning with breakfast... and you know what? I'm noticing a big difference. At first I thought: I'm just prepared in what I want to talk about. So, I tested by having a few late nights watching some Breaking Bad in bed, finally getting to sleep at 2am. Now, usually this would screw up my ability to connect my words to my brain and I'd have a bad day. But, that's not happening as much now... I mean, I still have my moments, but there's a BIG difference in my ability to string sentences, hell even paragraphs together without stuttering. Maybe it's just the fact that they help with tiredness, and so it helps me battle lack of sleep. But, screw it, it's helping me out and I really wanted to share with you guys. Godspeed x
