As long as the new job is aware of your stutter and they want to hire you, do it. F those d-bags at the grocery store. You should be happy going to work. Do you know what scripting is? You may already do it… Have certain phrases or greeting on command and practiced so that they start rolling out with more ease. I started at a grocery store and worked there for a long time. I had a good group of friends that were supportive there. The constant customer service interaction helped a lot. I then moved to a restaurant and eventually became a service and lead bartender. Keep pushing boundaries and progressing. I had tons of set backs including a cheeseburger thrown at me and people making fun of my stutter straight to my face.
