When we order in restaurants, I'll pretend like I forgot what I wanted, then she'll say "weren't you going to order whatever" so all I have to do is say yes or nod or something like that. We're usually on the same page about a lot of things, so I'll start sentences and pretend like I forgot what I was going to say, and she does a good job jumping in and helping me out. If we have an appointment, we'll kinda plan out what we're gonna talk about, so she can bail me out if I can't manage. She even asks in advance, or sometimes I'll tell her, if I think I can handle it or if I'll need an assist. We probably look like one of those awful couples who finish each other's sentences, but it's mostly her finishing mine. It makes me look a little forgetful, but I'll take that over incoherent stuttering any time. She knows situations like that are terrible for me and is always glad to help me out!
