No problem, happy to at least try and help. I have a few suggestions but I don't know if they relate to other people: 1) A LOT of people don't know what a stammer is. So even a post about the frustration of seeing other people's confused looks as I try stand there not saying a word might be nice. You could go into the physical and psychological causes and effects as well as the difference between a covert and overt stammer. There is already a lot if information about this on the Internet but it would be interesting to hear it from somebody who is effected by it personally. 2) the link between a stammer and your mood. Maybe it's just me but drink effects my speech a lot, when I am drinking it's nearly perfect but when I'm hungover it's awful. Even when the hangover is gone, the bad speech carries on for a few days. This is the same for when I'm just feeling crappy about myself. You could talk about that? 3) you could talk about cognitive behavioural therapy or CBT. This is one of the fastest growing forms of therapy there and it is being used for a HUGE list of psychological affectations! It is basically (very basically) the idea of constantly thinking positive thoughts with the plan to let those thoughts seep into your sub conscious. The little voice inside your head is a lot more important than people think and if we can take control of it we can take control of our stammer (not in all cases obviously). CBT gets a lot of coverage but not usually for stammers so this could be interesting. Anyway, keep us posted and good luck! 👌
