Total speech block (physically and mentally)

Total speech block (physically and mentally) Hey all, I am new to this sub. I am in my mid-twenties and have had a transient stutter since childhood. Over the last few years, I have had the following happen to me more times than I can count, especially in the presence of somebody I do not know: while in the middle of a sentence, or when asked a question, my vocal cords freeze and all thoughts escape my mind: I am completely paralyzed mentally and physically from the chest up. Time stops completely. I think this is called a "blockage." I guess this is the best way I can describe it. Does anyone else experience this?
