You got this, I know largely what you are going through. My life is a mess and Ive been reflecting massively on it. I like you state it feels like we are at the mercy of who ever we are talking to. As for interviews keep on going. I have been told many times again and again I cant work a job because of my stuttering. Despite us having rights that supposedly protect us, it is nearly impossible to prove that unless they write it down which they know better not to. At this point in my life the descrimination has been so frusterating I want to find a way to fight back. You wouldnt tell someone being descriminated against because of racisim to just accept it and move on. I 100 percent wish we didnt have to even potentially worry. The last thing I was is to file a descrimination law suit but people only listen to money. For your own assurance and you can state it as a means of accomodation. Refuse to ever do interviews solely over the phone one on one. Ask if you can have a friend or someone you trust as an "interpretor" for your stuttering and request it as an accomodation. This way you have a witness if they say anything. Companies and people in general mostly understand they can't do something when comes with social or economic consequences. Never talk to HR one on one either, always state you want a trusted friend or medical personel with you! We should have this option, we are extremely vunerable and stuttering places us in that situation based on our own human behavior.
