I'm a current freshman in uni and I found it easier to be open about my stutter than in HS. While making an election speech in a club I stated that I had a stutter first thing and everybody seemed to understand/didn't care (in a good way). Because uni is so big and everyone is wrapped up in their own lives you'll find that people care a lot less, especially when you explain it to people you first meet. My HS was small and clique-y so I often felt very afraid/ashamed to stutter around people I saw every day for years. In college I found more acceptance about this part of myself and I'm more comfortable because in the big picture, it doesn't matter.
