Blocking returns because of a long and terrible cold

Blocking returns because of a long and terrible cold A few years ago, I learned wonderful habits that enabled me to nearly eliminate blocks and speak smoothly, enjoyably and with comfortable control. However, when I get sick (with lots of congestion or throat pain), my blocks come back. I know it’s almost entirely due to the physical issue, so I’m relatively calm about it. But today, I reverted to my old habits of mostly saying “oh yeah!” instead of saying anything of consequence. People finished most of my sentences. I was with old family friends (one who’s a retired SLP) and it felt so terrible. FYI - my new habits are to practice voluntary repetitions, make eye contact and begin on an exhale. And I guess I need to return to my practices.
