Where are you from, friend? I have never had long, stutter free periods. I have stuttered since a child. I stutter on my name, and I stutter in front of people. It is a struggle at times but it doesn't matter. I get my stuff done. The more I do it, the more I gain confidence. In school, I was bullied a lot. It took me a couple of years to realise the bullying had stopped. Everyone grew up and got on with their lives. I get the odd weird look but it's fine. It is just the reaction of someone who didn't expect to see someone stuttering. I ask where you are from because some societies are harder than others. As I get older, I realise that I have one life and stutter or not I just need to get on with it. I would encourage anyone to just get on with it. Focus on the positives. E.g, you got the food you wanted. You said what you wanted to say. Fluency is less important than what you actually achieved. I would also encourage people to realise they have good interactions, mornings and days where speaking is easy. They also have bad interactions, mornings and days where speaking is hard. Sometimes, there is a reason for good and bad days. Sometimes, there isn't. It helps to realise what kind of day it is. Good days should be celebrated. Bad days should be tolerated because you know they will pass. Generally help yourself. Practice talking. Practice doing the things you normally struggle with. It all helps. I hope this helps and I hope you find happiness in whatever you wish to do.
