I don't stutter mid-sentence but often cannot start a word, usually at the beginning of a sentence. Anyone else with this problem? I used to have a typical stutter when I was younger, but that went away with time. Now, I just can't start certain words, making it really hard to have a conversation. I want to say something, but I can't get the sound of the word out to even start talking. Usually once I start the sentence, I'm fairly fluent, with the occasional pause. I just hate the main problem with starting sentences. It really impedes on my social ability because I struggle to carry on normal conversations or initiate a conversation with someone. Most question words (how, do, what, why, etc) are ones I have a lot of trouble with which really sucks. Is there anyone else with this problem? If so, have you found any ways to make it less severe and not such a hindrance on my daily life?
