What u have to understand is that you do stutter, and avoiding talking to people is not going to fix that; it'll actually make it worse in most cases. You can talk, it will just take longer to say what you want to say. It's important you come to respect that's how it is, and for the most part it won't change. It's a tough thing to do, but once you can become happier about who you are, and not care about other people's reactions to you - you can do anything in life. I suggest even stuttering on purpose just to build up that confidence. You'll have a few bad experiences with customers, but A LOT more experiences will be positive. Forget the ignorant assholes who make a comment about it. They aren't worth acknowledging. Don't let other people control your life, you speak when you want to speak and if it takes longer, so be it.
