Its worked for me. I felt I'd probably be stuttering in the job interview, and I didn't know what kind of experience the interviewer had had with persons who stutter, so I felt it'd be a good idea to mention it early on in the interview, but explain it wont at all affect my ability to do the job. I stuttered a lot during the interview and I got the job. I even got what I thought were "the hell is wrong with this guy" stares even after explaining my stutter, haha! But that's ok, these people just hadn't spoken much with a person who stutters or maybe they ought to be more tactful, or maybe it was me misinterpreting their expression. I know I did very well in the interview and they wanted to keep talking to me because they asked many follow up questions. They made it a 2 hour interview, not me.
