I think we agree more than we disagree. It's just that there are too many variables mentioned in this particular case and too much of a tendency for people to cry 'poor me' when it may not be justified. I am also firm in my challenging of self-destructive thinking. Sinking into a pit of self-pity is a form of bullying, self-bullying, and I stand up to bullies, especially those who bully themselves.
